Overview
Toggle speech-to-text from the radial menu and start dictating. OwlScope transcribes your speech in real time and inserts the text directly into the active app — no cloud service required.
How It Works
- Assign the Speech to Text action to a menu slot.
- Trigger it to start listening — a visual indicator confirms recording.
- Speak naturally. Transcribed text appears in the active text field.
- Trigger again (or press the shortcut) to stop.
Details
- Uses on-device speech recognition — no data sent to the cloud
- Supports configurable language settings and auto-detection
- Voice Activity Detection (VAD) auto-stops recording when you stop speaking
- Toggle on/off from the radial menu or a dedicated keyboard shortcut
- Requires Microphone permission in System Settings
