1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and OwlScope ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the OwlScope application ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

OwlScope is a macOS productivity application that provides a radial command menu for launching applications, running scripts, controlling system functions, and more — activated through a single keyboard shortcut. The Software is available as a free download with optional paid Pro add-on features.

3. Merchant of Record

All payments for Pro add-on features are processed through Paddle. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy.

4. Free & Pro Features

OwlScope provides a comprehensive set of features at no cost, including the radial menu, app launcher, script runner, system commands, URL opener, key combos, Pomodoro timer, habit tracker, and usage statistics.

Pro add-on features (AI Prompt Templates, On-Screen Annotation, Clipboard Manager, Screen Capture, Speech to Text) are available as one-time purchases. Each add-on is sold individually — you only pay for what you need. Pro features are tied to your OwlScope account and can be used on any Mac where you are signed in.

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use OwlScope on macOS devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Software or any Pro add-on licenses.
• Use the Software for any unlawful purpose.
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the Software.

6. Account & Security

An account is required to purchase Pro features and manage your licenses. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@owlscope.app if you suspect unauthorized use.

7. Refunds

All refunds are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, in accordance with Paddle's Buyer Terms. To request a refund, please contact Paddle directly through the link in your purchase receipt, or visit paddle.net. For further details, see our Refund Policy page.

8. Intellectual Property

OwlScope and all associated branding, logos, and content are the intellectual property of OwlScope. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited license granted in Section 5.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOU USE THE SOFTWARE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OWLSCOPE AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
